Welcome to The Liminal Woman,
A 4-day retreat on 80 acres in a valley north of Kamloops, British Columbia designed to guide you into the depths of your own inner wisdom. This is an immersive experience with horse wisdom, where we will come together as sisters, teachers, and students, stepping beyond the threshold of everyday life into a space where we surrender into the now and sync back with mother earth's rhythm.
This retreat is for women that feel the resonance to the space of mother, to know their journey with this archetype more deeply and reclaim their power. This is the invitation to come and gather in the presence of horse medicine and be reminded of the healing and wisdom that we find in the arms of other women.
For when women gather and remember who we are together, we are an unstoppable force in the world. This is your invitation to birth the Oracle from within.
The Mares That Lead Us
In creation of this retreat, two of our mares stepped forward to be our guiding energies and keepers of this sacred time of year at Summer Solstice, when the sun moves into the sign of Cancer.
Hera who asked to have the medicine name of a mother, is a 22 year old broodmare that came to us in the fall of 2024. Her life was one of birthing foals, 15. Her value was in her children. At 22 she was being discarded because she could no longer produce, but we felt her spirit and the energies aligned where she found her way to us so she could share her wisdom. Hera embraces the role of mother, in all of its totality, the wounding of it and also the acceptance of that space. She is fierce in her desire to know that now is the time to share her medicine, just like she is calling to you.
Dharma was also a mother, although much of her history remains a mystery to us. She found her way to us in 2017.
At 28 years old she is an elder in the herd, she is a seer, a nurturer, and she knows how to hold the balanced energy of a caregiver. Dharma summons us in our worthiness to claim our Dharma and to know the mother is a part of our purpose as women. This can be held in many different forms. I
f you are questioning if motherhood is a path for you, if you are wondering how you can step into holding it, if you are looking for an answer on this path, Dharma will show you. A holder of past and future, Dharma is a guide through the liminal spaces, asking us to trust what we see with our inner eye and trust the bigger picture of purpose of what we are asked to birth.
When the energy of the mare in her wisdom calls to us, we listen. When her soft whispers beckon us to sit deeply with her, we tune in.
When the archetype of the divine mother speaks to us, she is asking us to reclaim the mother energy in ourselves, whether we are mothers of a child or not, we all hold this space in us.
The mother is a space of receiving, of nurturing, of tending. It is where the seat of intuition is held, the lineage of our wisdom is found, and where we tap into the DIVINE WISDOM
Mares are the heart of the herd. They are the nurturers, the birthers, the wisdom keepers. When we come to know the wisdom of the mare, we find ourselves in a space of deep capacity, of deep holding and of understanding how to walk with the fiercely soft path of being a woman.
Fierce courage is a space we can find here, because mother energy is not one that is meek, it is powerful, it is summoning, it is fierce. To know motherhood is to know it in all of its forms, as a mother of a physical child, a spirit child, or to just simply be called to hold the space of mother in our lives to others including animals. She walks with us to bring us deeply into this space so we can find our purpose with it.
It is vulnerable at times for us to claim the things that speak to us, to move past the fear and conditioning and find our way with it. Dharma is our gentle guide of power that says follow me, and we listen to her and what she is ready to reveal to us.
Why Horses?
We do not need to know horses intimately to know they are a guide for us. You do not have to be a horse woman to walk in the embrace of horses or feel called to them. In the space you will be taught how to be in their energy with reverence and safety, how to tune into your intuition in connection to them and be able to sit in a field of horses that live as closely as horses do in the wild to receive them in their wisdom.
Horses are access points, they are gatekeepers to the wisdom of our own soul, they call us forward in a way we can’t often do for one another. They speak to us in the space of mystery and magic, of being embodied and courageous and they offer us a frequency that is devoid of human judgment and dysfunction. With horses we are safe, to be seen, to be witnessed, to be revealed, they are guides to our own inner wisdom and to the knowledge we carry in us that we can’t always hear. This is why we are called to them, to know and to remember ourselves and to be transported to a space where spirit becomes real, where messages translate into our body and where we see ourselves through a mirror of purity.

A deep dive into your Astrological Blueprint to map the physical body through medical astrology, metaphysical anatomy and 7-year cycles. Uncovering the link between major transits for significant change and activating your gifts.
Invoking Oracle Intuition
The retreat will focus on cultivating and awakening three primary centers of feminine power:
• The Womb: A deep reservoir of creation and intuition, holding both our deepest wounds and our greatest power. Here, we will reclaim our ability to birth new realities.
• The Heart: The seat of compassion and the gateway to trusting ourselves and others. Through heart-centered practices, we will release the fear of being seen and open to deeper intimacy with ourselves and life.
• The Throat: The channel for authentic expression. We will work to clear any blocks that have silenced our true voices, allowing the wisdom of our wombs and hearts to speak freely and unapologetically.
A Journey Into the Feminine Depths
During this retreat, we will gather to:
• Explore the feminine waters of the zodiac and their connection to your emotional depths. We will tune into how Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces help reveal the truth of your intuitive gifts, emotional landscape and matriarchal lineage.
• Work with the goddess archetypes to release core wounds—mother wounds, father wounds, and those distorted beliefs that have kept you disconnected from your own truth.
• Engage in deep shamanic practices that bring you back to the center of your being, to remember who you truly are beneath the masks and roles you’ve been taught to play.
What YOU’ll experience:

Horse Medicine & Mare Wisdom
We will be sitting with the herd daily and working with the mares through energy work and intuitive/channeling practices. The time spent with the herd is a foundational aspect of this retreat so you must be comfortable around horses.

Somatic & Intimacy Work
Somatic Work will be done through practices for the womb, heart, and throat connection, from sacred sound and movement to journaling and meditation.We will also discuss relationship patterns and dynamics we have with our parents, children and partners.

Writing & Channeling
We will practice opening ourselves into our psychic gifts through writing, authentic relating practices and channeling work. This will also include morning group dream analysis and intuition strengthening meditations that would include dolphin and whale frequencies.

Cosmic Mapping
I will teach you how to read Astrological Charts, map 7 year cycles, link the body and trauma with Metaphysical Anatomy, & speak about German New Medicine.

Everything you need to know
✓ Astrological Overview , Cosmic Mapping Training and Synastry Astrology
You will receive your complete Astrological Chart during this retreat and learn basic Evolutionary Astrology. Workshops will focus on mapping your chart placements with 7 year cycles and healing your physical body through metaphysical anatomy.
✓ Writing and Channeling Practices
We will practice states of creative flow and feel what it is like to sink into emotions, rather than dismiss them. A way of tapping into the stream of creativity through spoken word and the poetic expression of pleasure, grief & pain.
✓ Horse Medicine and Mare Wisdom
Each day during daytime hours we will spend a few hours with the herd.
✓ Sleeping Accommodations
This retreat consists of 6 shared cabins and 3 private cabins.
✓ Sound, Song, Breath and Nature
Singing, humming and toning will be active throughout these retreats. The throat, heart, womb connection is foundational for the work we do. Participants are always encouraged to bring their own instruments. Time spent in nature will be a priority.
✓ Authentic Relating
Together we will lean into our edge through one-on-one mirror work and group work. Speaking, moving and honoring our boundaries, desires and fears. This is your opportunity to be witnessed in ways you have never allowed.
✓ Breath and Somatic Work
Morning meditation and breath work during the morning hours is a beautiful group experience we practice during these retreats. Breath is a Somatic Healing Technique we utilize to begin re-calibrating our Nervous System together in group.
✓ Womb Work and Lineage Healing
We will focus on the throat, heart and womb connection for lineage healing work. The 4th, 8th and 12th houses in our astrological chart. Along with, the Asteroid Goddess placements within your chart. We will also focus on the father wound and how we view the masculine.
✓ Movement, Song and Dance
Dance will be used like a prayer. Shifting and moving stuck energy from within our fascia, organs and muscles is essential during our healing phases. Movement and vocal toning is also necessary for the release of our sensual self-expression and to get the juices flowing. We will listen to songs from dolphins and whales as well.
✓ Food
Local greens, fruit, vegetables, rice, meat and lentils will be cooked with love and intention. Meats will be cooked separately for all those who are vegetarian. Dietary restrictions and allergies are taken in the questionnaire after registration.
✓ Photography
I will be shooting black and white portraits of all the women at this retreat. These portraits will portray the earth and the women who merge with the elements in all their power and presence.

These retreats are for women born with a uterus who are ready to soften into their primal, sensual, full expressed selves. Women ready to commit to long term change and hold themselves accountable every step of the way.
These retreats are NOT for anyone looking to get an instant gratification, quick fix of “change.” This is a stepping stone within your journey - albeit it will be a powerful one - this is not therapy and we are not here to “fix” people as we do not believe anyone who walks through these retreats doors is broken.

About your facilitators
These experiences led me to explore holistic and metaphysical practices, reconnecting with the deep intuitive wisdom I had as a child and stepping into a life that feels deeply aligned and fulfilling.
In my work, I help individuals map the cycles and transits within their astrological charts, incorporating somatic practices into our sessions. Whether in-person or online, my offerings may include intuitive insights, sound healing, plant allies, and shadow work techniques.
Over the past decade, I’ve dedicated hundreds of hours to studying and practicing somatic techniques, thought work, shamanic healing, feminine space-holding, plant-medicine therapies, and alternative healing methods through mentorship, life experiences, and self-guided study.
My background also includes a decade working in multiple departments at a teaching hospital, which gave me firsthand insight into the western medical system. This experience fuels my commitment to helping others uncover the root causes of their suffering, moving beyond temporary fixes to lasting transformation.
Since 2014, I’ve been hosting day-long workshops and three-night retreats across the U.S., inviting women from all walks of life to release the weight of their past and step boldly into their power.
I work with women who are ready to break free from repeating relationship patterns and ongoing health issues. These are women who are committed to investing in themselves, stepping into the unknown, and choosing what excites them—even when it feels terrifying.

Hillary Schneider
Hillary is the founder and lead facilitator of the Epona Rise Retreat Center and Horse Medicine Leadership Academy, she has been leading and teaching retreats and trainings with her herd for the last 12 years.
Passionate about bringing the teachings of the horses to impact the lives of humans, she has been devoted to her own vision and purpose of creating a space in nature where people can come and receive the wisdom of horses, the land and their own inner guidance.
She has over the last 12 years had the privilege of hosting and leading retreats for a range of people who are seeking to become more masterful in their experience of being a human with their own passion of personal and professional growth and development.
I guide women through their astrological chart, womb pain and fears of being witnessed by helping them untangle the web of stories shaped by childhood experiences that have impacted their mental and physical health.
Through an intuitive lens, I assist women in aligning with their soul’s highest purpose, individuation and audacity with the assistance of earth animals and elements.
For over a decade, I’ve been immersed in Evolutionary Astrology and Medical Astrology. Since 2019, I’ve expanded my work to include Holistic Doula and Physiological Birthing practices, Metaphysical Anatomy, and German New Medicine (GNM).
As a sensitive and intuitive child, I spoke with a raw authenticity. My own healing journey began in my early teens when I faced debilitating menstrual pain. At 22, I gave birth to my son, and by 25, I navigated the challenges of thyroid cancer and hormonal imbalances.
