Meet the Herd
LUNA
Luna came to us in the fall of 2021 due to a back injury and is not able to be ridden. Luna is a mare that is both feisty and ethereal, intuitive and carries a space of beauty, boldness and not being afraid to own and show the brilliance of who we are.
Luna has been a wonderful addition to our herd. She is a social butterfly that often draws the eye because of her beautiful coloring and presence.
MERLIN
Merlin is a young dominant gelding that came to us in the spring of 2021 after the herd requested a young gelding come in that could one day take over the leadership of the herd.
Merlin lived in the wild for the first 3 years of his life, coming to us with minimal handling and not certain about how to be with people.
He has since blossomed into one of our most affectionate horses. He is a trickster that is not afraid to stir up the space and is rising into his leadership in the herd.
He is an important teacher of range, of knowing when it is time to disrupt the energy and also how to lean into the wisdom we gain through experience.
SHADOW
Shadow came to us in the spring of 2022. She was orphaned in the wild and we had followed her story of being found in the range near Kamloops wandering without any other horses in sight.
Once she was old enough to seek out her own home, we knew she was meant to come to us. Shadow lives up to her name, often asking us to sit with and look at a different side to our shadow side. She is feisty, sometimes brings the energy of chaos, and embodies a full permission of being who she is. Shadow is not shy to come right into our space asking us to be with what she triggers without holding any kind of bother around whether she is triggering us or not.
She is wise beyond her years, fearless and shows us the ability to recapture that sense of wild abandon in ourselves and in our lives.
The Spirit Herd
As part of bringing horses into our lives we also have the experience of losing them. We currently have five horses who are part of our spirit herd and although they have left us in their physical presence, they are still deeply felt in their essence and spirit of our herd.
