Women Who Run with Horses:

Healing with Horse Medicine

July 5th - July 7th

August 2nd - 4th

There comes a point in a journey where we feel deeply called by a teacher, a wisdom and a medicine.

Perhaps this energy is known to us and perhaps it is one that feels new and unknown.

Horses are a medicine, not just for those of us that identify as being a horse woman, but for those of us that feel the call the presence of horses knowing there is something about them and their wisdom that speaks to our souls.

There is a curiosity, a calling and a knowing that this archetype is the one that is going to lead us forward into our own personal journey while supporting us in what we hold as our own wisdom in the world.

We also recognize that there are those that feel called to come and journey with the horses each year, and the resources to support the retreat are not easily accessible.

We wanted to open up a couple of weekends this summer for those that feel called to journey with us but require a more supportive investment to join us.

With horses we find a pathway to healing that feels non judgemental and revealing. they allow us to witness ourselves in a way that we can see, helping us forge our way to the healing within that is ready to take place.

This retreat is about us landing in our healing journey, of being receptive to where the horses are here as our guides on this path, and where their medicine can support us in places we can’t always witness and create with anywhere else.

We will gather and be led by this herd of wise equine teachers and be open to what guidance and wisdom they are bringing into our lives.

It is here we find the safety and the courage to find our healing path and the transformation that is seeking to take place.

With horses, we are brought to a place of revealing. There is no hiding here, no deflecting, no pretending.

It is pure and honest feedback that is impossible for us not to see. Horses see into the mirror of who we are and give us what we need to see in that exchange.

They call us forward in our own medicine and help us anchor into the medicine that is showing up for us at this point on our paths and in our lives.

When we hear the call of the horse that means we are ready to touch the places of power and honesty in ourselves, that we are ready to move through what has been blocking us and to find an answer to the dysfunction we can cycle through by being a human. We are ready to heal.

In truth, we do not know what is uncovered in these retreats. We are walking into the unknown trusting what the horses will reveal and unearth for us knowing that the journey with them will leave us unchanged and ready for what we are being initiated into.

It is the space of horses we walk when we are ready to witness ourselves in a new way and embrace the healing that is ready to be rooted in us.

What medicine do the horses have for us to sit with and where are they bringing us into our growth?

We get clear on what we are cycling through in our journey, what is ready for us to shed, and what is waiting to be rebirthed.

We come into the mystery of our own nature and how that is reflected through this land and herd and also what we are holding in our own self.

We come into deeper commune with the parts of ourselves that are waiting to speak with us and that is mirrored by the wisdom of the herd.

We find our connection to horses and their medicine and what journey they are taking us on.

We get answers to the quest around our visions, purpose and our place and what is being asked of us in our leadership and the medicine we bring to the world.

.

Each day we will have a morning and afternoon session with the herd and spend some time with the land they live on.

We follow the lead of the horses as they are master space holders and readers of energy. We don’t ever know what will emerge or show up with the herd each day.

Part of the wisdom of allowing the horses to lead is for us to be more in tune with how energy moves us and how to respond to it. The horses don’t hold agenda for us, they simply mirror back to us what we are needing to be with and observe as a collective and as individuals.

Meet your facilitators:

Hillary Schneider

Founder of Epona Rise Retreat Center
Lead facilitator and founder of horse medicine leadership academy.
Mentor and guide for women and horse medicine.

I have been guiding the path of horses and their medicine since 2009. Currently, I run and operate an 80-acre retreat ranch north of Kamloops BC with a herd of 29 wise equine teachers.

I believe deeply in the capacity of who we are and the importance of bringing our gifts out into the world while honoring ourselves along the way.

Since 2009 I have held space for and led the path of horse medicine for those that have felt the call to journey with them. It is our greatest privilege to walk this path with our herd and offer medicine to those that have trusted us to hold space for them.

What People Are Saying

“My time with Hillary, the herd, and simply being on the ranch provided the reflection and renewal time that I longed for, and can now say deeply needed. Being in a place of transition, I knew that I needed time away from my daily routine and responsibilities to allow silence and a open space to simply be. What I did not know is how valuable time at Epona Rise with Hillary would be. I came home with a clear opening, really awakening, to what I want more of in my life, thanks to the guidance of the herd and wisdom of Hillary’s intuitive insight. This is a safe and sacred place that will provide what you need, in ways that will surprise, delight and inspire. On so many levels, thank you, Hillary, for what you have created and make available to us with grace and wonder.”

“My experience with Hillary and her beautiful majestic herd of horses was truly a life-changing. Hillary is an amazing young woman who has such insight and intuition and a true gift. Her medicine is pure and loving and healing. She helped guide me through it all and was a great source of support for me. The herd of horses is truly magical beings whose energy is so comforting and healing. They have such a deep healing medicine that they give to you. I was overwhelmed by their energy and spirit. It was the most transforming and healing spiritual experience I have ever had in my life. I left with a sense of freedom that I have not felt in years, I was free to be me. I felt lighter and happier than I have for a very long time. I was able to leave behind baggage that I have carried around with me for years and the horses were so supportive and kind and gentle and supported me through it all with their grace and messages. Their medicine gave me what I was looking for, a stronger sense of purpose, an inner strength that I had forgotten I had. A spiritual support that reassured me and gave me strength and enlightenment. I will carry Hillary and the herd in my heart forever and am most grateful to them for their medicine, love, and support.”

“I came to the Horse Medicine retreat needing some clarity. I had reached a point in my professional and personal life where I felt like I was stuck in the rat race, and lost sight of my true values and beliefs. Anxiety kept creeping up, and at times I found it difficult to breathe. The constant mental chatter and negative self-talk were both mentally and physically exhausting. When I first arrived at the ranch, it was clear that the space was magical. Hillary has a way of making all people feel welcome, even though we had never met one another. The entire experience was deeply profound and one I will never forget. The horses allow you to gain perspective in life and to remind yourself of what is truly important. I left feeling lighter and with a great sense of peace. Hillary’s wisdom and life experiences are remarkable. I would strongly recommend this retreat for other women who are looking to feel empowered.”
